Throughout the world, there is a continuously increasing demand for safe and clean water supplies. GF Signet is meeting the challenge by providing a complete line of products suitable for measurements in food and beverage manufacturing plants. These measurements include flow, temperature, pressure, pH, ORP, conductivity, and resistivity.
Most processes require the use of incoming city water which may need to be closely monitored with a flow sensor for reporting monthly volumes to the local authorities. This water may also need further pre-treatment to ensure high-quality, good tasting foods and/or beverages, so pH, ORP, resistivity or conductivity measurements may be required in the water treatment area of the plant.
During the food manufacturing process, flow and volume measurements for process water may be required for proper blending, diluting, or rinsing. Other measurements such as temperature, pressure, and resistivity may be required for other processes and are dependent upon each individual manufacturing facility.
All manufacturing processes have waste water from either rinse water or process waste and may need to be treated before discharge into local sewers. Measurements such as pH, ORP, or conductivity may be required for proper waste neutralization. Flow and volume measurements are becoming universal requirements (by local ordinances) for discharge released into the local sewage lines.
