Power Recommendations for Signet ProcessPro Transmitters

ProcessPro units require regulated input power ranging from 12 to 24 VDC, ± 10%. If the input power is not regulated or if the loop power is connected directly to the power source without being connected to an external 4-20 mA device, it can damage some of the internal electronic components.

Signet recommends:
• Use a regulated power supply.
The 7300 series available from Signet is a well regulated and reliable power source.

• If the loop power is connected directly to the power source with no external device in the system, connect a 250 Ω resistor (for 24 VDC) or a 100 Ω resistor (for 12 VDC), ½ Watt, in series to the loop+ to suppress the start up surge of the power supply.
