The PVDF rotor pin is different from all of the other metal pins.
The “ears” of the paddlewheel sensor body are angled slightly inward when the pin is removed. The metal pins are able to spread the ears and allow the rotor to spin freely.
The PVDF pin is not able to withstand the pressure that the ears place on the pin, so it is manufactured to be approximately 0.020 inches (0.51 mm) more narrow between the shoulders than the metal pins. In addition, Signet machines the PVDF rotor to a slightly more narrow width, so it can spin freely.
When using a PVDF pin, ALWAYS use part number P51550-3 (for a 515 rotor) or part number 3-2536.321 (for a 2536 rotor). ALWAYS replace the PVDF pin and rotor as a set.
Use part number P51547-3 (PVDF Rotor for 515 sensor) or part number 3-2536.320-2 (PVDF rotor for 2536 sensor) ONLY when using a metal pin. |
