Dual-Channel Sensor's Serial Numbers
Signet offers Digital (S3L) sensor electronics that accept either one or two analog sensor inputs. These analog sensor inputs can consist of Signet's conductivity and pH/ORP sensors as well as third party 4-20mA sensors. Signet's serial number production process does not allow for any two digital (S3L) sensors to share the same serial number.

Dual-channel sensor electronics can accommodate up to two serial numbers in one unit, as in the case of the 2850 Conductivity Sensor Electronics and the 8058-2 Signal Converter.  Since no two sensors can have the same serial number, these units must go through a special serial number production process.

In dual-channel units, the first sensor input will be assigned to the serial number of the sensor electronics, and the serial number for the second sensor input will be the same as sensor input one with 12 added to the month field. See figure below for the breakdown of serial numbers.

Figure 1:    Serial Number Breakdown

Example:

2850 Sensor Electronic's Serial Number is:       60701311234
                   •  Sensor Input 1 Serial Number:       60701311234
                   •  Sensor Input 2 Serial Number:       60713311234
