Liquid-Tight Connectors
One of the most common accessory items is the little piece of hardware that we call the “Liquid-Tight
Connector.” Signet has two types of liquid-tight connectors, one with ½ inch NPT threads
(this is a black plastic piece) and one with ISO PG13.5 threads (this is a light gray plastic piece). These two different connectors are packaged into four different kits, each of which has a unique functionality.
3-0000.393 |
This part number was originally created for the liquid-tight connector kit that is packed with another
product. It includes one ½ inch connector with ISO threads and an adapter to thread into a ½ inch
NPT port. |
When you buy a 3-8051 Integral conduit kit, this kit is included. It is useful for applications
where the connector will be threaded into a conduit port.
The
3-0000.393 is not suitable for applications where the connector will be mounted
through a panel cutout because it does not include the locking nut required for
panel mounting.
This part number is being removed from the catalog. Future orders for this part
will be automatically substituted with the 3-9000.392-2. |
3-9000.392 |
This part number includes three sets of ½ inch NPT connectors, plus the necessary
hardware so the connectors can be either panel mounted or threaded into a ½ inch NPT port. |
3-9000.392-1 |
This part number is exactly the same as 3-9000.392, except it is a single connector. |
3-9000.392-2 |
This part number is a single ½ inch ISO connector with all the necessary hardware
to either panel mount or thread into a ½ inch NPT port.
If you need a single part number that serves both NPT and ISO thread requirements,
and can be either panel-mounted or port-mounted, this is the one. |
