Introduction of the NEW Signet 2537 Paddlewheel Flowmeter
The NEW Signet 2537 Flow Sensor is the next generation in fluid measurement technology from the inventor of the original
Paddlewheel flowmeter. This new sensor is an improvement on what’s already a classic and has the added functionality
of various output options including flow switch, pulse divider, digital (S3L) or 4 to 20mA. Additionally, it offers low flow, low power and high resolution options and can be configured on-site directly through the built-in user interface.
Installation is simple because the Signet 2537 utilizes the same fittings as the popular Signet 515 and 2536 Paddlewheel Sensors, and fits into pipe sizes ranging from DN15 to DN200 (0.5 to 8 inches). Available in a variety of wetted materials, such as Polypropylene and PVDF, it is ideal for a variety of applications including chemical processing, water and wastewater
monitoring and scrubber control.
The output versions increase the product's versatility because:
- The 4 to 20mA can be directly interfaced with a PLC, chart recorder, or any other device that requires a 4 to 20mA signal. The Signet 2537 flow sensor adds to the SIgnet "blind" offering which includes measurement sensors for pH/ORP, conductivity, pressure, temperature and level. "Blind" sensors offer a 4 to 20mA output, with a built-in interface and without the need of an external instrument for parameter configuration. Thus, this extends significant cost savings for the user.
- The Flow Switch version is ideal for simple ON/OFF applications that can trigger alarms for the reliable protection of pumps and other sensitive devices.
- The Pulse version can be used as a pump pulser in batching applications - simply program the desired number of gallons or liters before a pulse is sent. A Pulse-Divider feature also accommodates PLCs that cannot handle high frequency signals.
- The Digital (S3L) version allows for the connection of up to six 2537 sensors to a single SIgnet 8900 Multi-Parameter Controller.
Additional Features:
- Low-flow capabilities down to 0.1 m/s or 0.3 ft/s
- Various output options available to suit multiple applications
- Contains a built-in user interface for parameter set-up
- Reduces installation costs when using multiple digital (S3L) versions
- Extended two-year warranty
Examples of Applications:
- Process flow monitoring
- Pump protection
- Pure water production
- Filtration systems
- Chemical production
- Reverse osmosis
- Demineralization/Regeneration
- Fume scrubbers
- Blow-down control in cooling towers
